| We're looking for high-stakes investors willing to invest in the life of a student. Student sponsors pay for the education of an individual student at City Mission Academy. As a sponsor you also have the privilege of a relationship with your student. You may have lunch with your student and participate in field trips and other school events. |

| THE EDUCATION SITUATION |
|
| Most of the children start at City Mission Academy 18 months behind grade level. They start kindergarten with poor or limited vocabulary and are unprepared because they received little stimulation at home. They lack readiness skills such as letter recognition and number concepts. They often lack the social skills and ability to solve conflict. The chart to the left shows Detroit’s current high school graduation rate. |

| Our influence over City Mission Academy students does not begin at 9am and end at 3pm. Because the Academy is integrated with the broader City Mission set of programs, our students receive around-the-clock attention. |
