The Leaders in Training (LIT) program provides teen graduates of our Tutoring and Mentoring programs with the support required to succeed as they face the most critical cross-roads of their young lives. LIT provides participants with alternatives to drugs, gang membership and teen parenting through a rigorous program that includes relationships with City Mission staff and volunteers, leadership curriculum, respon- sibilities for helping younger students in the Homework Club, and work opportunities. LIT helps teens reach their full potential by developing awareness, self-confidence, personal vision and job skills.
